Chocolate mint is a cultivar of common peppermint that presents darker stems than peppermint and dark-green purplish leaves.
It smells like a peppermint patty, though the aroma is more chocolatey than the taste. It makes a scrumptious tea, and it can be baked in cakes, added to mojitos and used to aid digestion. Its aroma, though pleasant to humans, repels pests like mice, mosquitoes, ants and aphids.
Use the essence of chocolate mint to make your own homemade body scrub, or other beauty products for added chocolate indulgence.
